Tent Care information and Tips

  • - When drying your tent, avoid using heaters as it can cause shrinkage, affecting the internal frame size. Plan for this when setting up your tent to dry. We recommend air drying it to maintain its shape and size.
  • - Long exposure to the sun's UV rays can damage canvas fabrics, so using a tent fly is recommended for extended periods of time.
  • - When placing or removing the tent over a frame, always have zippers unzipped to prevent too much stress on the zipper.
  • - Mildew can be removed with a bleach solution or a mixture of white vinegar, mild detergent, and water. Bleach can weaken the fabric, so use it with caution.
  • - To clean the tent, always brush off dry dirt or mud with a soft brush. When washing the tent, use only mild, all-natural detergents and scrub lightly.
  • - Never store a damp or wet tent, as this can cause mildew. Always let the tent dry naturally before storing.
  • - If your tent has leaking seams, use a tent seam sealer or buy a fly to stop the leaks.
  • - Keep wood stoves and lanterns away from the canvas to avoid scorching or burning.
  • - Be aware of setting up your tent under trees that emit resins. If possible, avoid this or use a rain fly.

Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a 100% money-back guarantee on canvas wall tents only, valid within 72 hours of purchase. This guarantee does not extend to accessories such as rain flies, floors, organizers, fire mats, or frames.

One-Year Limited Warranty
Yukon Tents Ltd. provides a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This includes issues such as defective stitching, zippers, and hardware. However, the following are not covered under this warranty:

Normal wear and tear

Hardware or pole failure unless due to defective materials

Damage caused by chemical exposure, mildew, mold, or ultraviolet exposure

Use of cleaning or treatment agents or compounds

Torn fabric or any damage resulting from misuse, accidents, or transportation

Warranty Voiding Conditions
The warranty will be immediately voided if the tent is altered, modified, or repaired by any third-party supplier or manufacturer not authorized by Yukon Tents Ltd. This includes any attempt to repair or modify our product by another tent maker or service provider.

Canvas Shrinkage and Fit
While the canvas used in our wall tents is pre-shrunk, some additional shrinkage may occur over time. This can cause strain on zippers and may result in improper fit on frames. Yukon Tents Ltd. does not warrant against fabric shrinkage or sizing issues that arise after delivery. Tent sizes are approximate and may not be exact; we are not responsible for issues related to custom platforms or structure plans when the tent is purchased without a frame.

Commercial Use Disclaimer
Our warranty does not apply to tents used for commercial applications or permanent housing. While not covered, Yukon Tents Ltd. will make every reasonable effort to address and resolve issues in such cases.

Fire and Water Disclaimer
Our tents are treated to be flame-retardant (CPAI-84 compliant) and water-repellent, but they are not fireproof or waterproof. Yukon Tents Ltd. does not warrant that tents will resist ignition or withstand exposure to open flame or excessive heat.
